Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Arctickey ("Service"), operated by Norr Lundh Holding AB ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Arctickey provides managed Valkey (Redis-compatible) database hosting services. The Service includes:

  • Provisioning and management of Valkey database instances
  • TLS-encrypted connections
  • Data storage in European Union data centers
  • Web-based dashboard for instance management
  • API access for programmatic management

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Store or transmit illegal content
  • Distribute malware or engage in hacking activities
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Mine cryptocurrency
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
  • Resell the Service without authorization
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees according to the pricing in effect at time of purchase
  • Provide valid payment information
  • Accept automatic renewal unless cancelled before the billing date

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
  • Emergency maintenance or security patches
  • Factors beyond our control (network issues, data center outages)

Free tier instances may be suspended after 14 days of inactivity.

7. Data and Backups

While we perform regular backups on paid plans, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data. We are not liable for data loss due to:

  • User error or accidental deletion
  • Security breaches caused by compromised credentials
  • Force majeure events

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by the Company. You retain ownership of all data you store using the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the dashboard. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be revoked
  • Your data will be deleted within 30 days
  • No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
